Information Privacy Act 2014
On 1 September 2014 new privacy legislation, the Information Privacy Act 2014 came into effect in the ACT, setting out eleven Territory Privacy Principles (TPPs) providing rules for the handling and management of personal information by ACT public sector agencies.
- The Information Privacy Act 2014 is available at the ACT Legislation Register website.
A number of Directorate policies and procedures include a privacy component, including some forms. These are being progressively revised and updated to reflect the new Act and the requirements of the TPPs.
