What We Do

Shared Services ICT provides a comprehensive range of ICT services to all ACT Government Directorates and their staff as well as ACT Government Schools. Shared Services ICT operates within a modern ICT environment which includes data centres, an extensive private optical fibre voice and data network. Other services provided includes desktop ICT support, user account management, network printers and peripherals support, ICT project management and business systems development and support.

Products and Services We Offer

User Account icon

Shared Services ICT manages network access which includes creating or transferring user account, creating or modifying mailbox, creating IT administrator account and other account management activities.

Access - to obtain or modify network access for new, transferring, leaving staff or staff on long term leave.

Business application icon

Business Applications - view descriptions and steps to get access to School Administration Systems, Teaching and Learning Applications and Corporate Business Applications, such as Digital Backpack, MAZE and Report Generators.

Software logo

Shared Services ICT, Software and Licensing Team are responsible for negotiating and purchasing software licenses on behalf of the Education Directorate SchoolsNet computers.

Software and Licensing Requests - information and instructions on how to request software licenses for SchoolNet computers.

Shared Services ICT procure various hardware devices for Education Directorate including computers for teachers, interactive white boards and student devices.

Purchasing - to submit request to purchase hardware and voice services, such as staff or student computers, VOIP phone, iPhone, iPad, SIM etc.

The first point of contact for any support or service request is the Service Desk by phoning 6207 9000. Select option – 1 for ICT support and then option – 2 if you are calling from the Education Directorate (EDU).
